Gooseberry is located on John's Island in South Carolina. My love affair with dogs began at an early age, showing Pugs as a Junior. I begain showing and breeding Gordon Setters in the 1970's and had my long-time wish fulfilled, of finding a Field Spaniel, in 1993. Jackee', who will always have a piece of my heart, was my first Field Spaniel and the Foundation of Gooseberry Field Spaniels.
Jackee's son, Brook, who is 8 ~ along with Jackee's daughter, 6 year old Lena, Cliff who is a Jackee' grandson and Jeri, a Lena daughter, all live here at Gooseberry. The Gordons are headed by Justin and his buddy Amy. Our newest addition is Midas, Winterbourne's Midas Touch, bred by Maria Kohlstrom.
My name is Suzanne Fernau and I am an Antiques Dealer and also manage a large Antique Auction House here in Charleston. My partner, Joe Fleming knows everything there is about Heavy Equipment, so if you need repair on a bulldozer, he is the man to call.
